“I am very proud of my son, and the only thing that is keeping me up is that he died for the cause of freedom and anti-Fascism, in which he believed till his last breath”
The thoughts of George Brown’s 67 year old Mother, Mary,
succinctly identify the beliefs that motivated him.
We would like to extend our heart-felt sympathy to our Chairman Tom O’Neill
and his family and Mary’s family on the loss of a beloved wife, mother, sister
Mary was an early supporter and contributor to the success of The George Brown Commemoration events.
Especially remembered for her famous sandwiches in the early days before
we could afford sumptuous lunches!
May she rest in peace.
